Our Programs
Praise Sunday
The city-wide educational outreach effort is hosted by over 100 faith –based institutions and visited by hundreds of survivors and volunteers making healthy presentations to church goers. The resource information distributed to parishioners provides important life-saving information on breast health, access to direct services, programs to uplift patients and celebrate survivors and ways to promote breast cancer research for Black women.
Children’s Festival
Inspired by the book “My Mommy Has Breast Cancer, But She is OK” written by Kerri Conner Matchett, this event features story time, games, and other activities for children ages 2 to 10 and their parents. Armed with the knowledge that Breast Cancer affects the entire family, this program educates children about Breast Cancer and encourages adults to have open discussions about the disease with their children.
Community Health Fair
Sponsored by Keystone First and Amerihealth Caritas Partnership
The health fair offers health screenings such as blood pressure, BMI and glucose. Participants will learn what health improvements they need to make to fit their lifestyle and take part in a series of wellness workshops while enjoying light refreshments.
